The Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 108-83 in a clean sweep to clinch back-to-back NBA titles and their third in four years. Having narrowly beat them in game three at the Quicken Loans arena they showed why they are the best team in the NBA as they let their air out slowly in LeBron James’ backyard as they scored 34 points in the first quarter.
Steph Curry who had a poor game three stepped up to the plate as he scored 37 points. Kevin Durant who was voted the finals MVP for the second year running chipped in with 20 points
The Warriors Coach Steve Kerr who has had health issues over the last three years said: “ This team is not only talented but they are selfless.” Steph Curry said: ”We just wake up everyday and hope to get better.”
The Quicken Loans Arena showed their gratitude to LeBron James for his efforts over the years. There is a strong possibility that he may have played his last game for them. He got the Cavs to their fourth straight NBA Finals.
However the last word belonged to the Golden State Warriors who were brilliant during this series and showed why they were a super team. The only team that pushed them to the brink this year were the Houston Rockets who took them to game seven in the Western Conference Finals.
The frightening thing about this Warriors team is that only Steph Curry is 30 and they are not going away anytime soon.
